P.I.C.E. believes homestay accommodation can be of great benefit to English Language students, as they are able to experience authentic English in a family environment. Even if students would prefer to live in a private shared house, we recommend students start in homestay accommodation for the first four weeks, while they look for suitable shared accommodation.
All P.I.C.E. homestays are carefully chosen to ensure students receive a high standard of accommodation and a warm and friendly welcome special to Western Australia.
Homestay students have their own room with a bed, desk, and wardrobe space. Students in homestay receive 16 meals per week - breakfast and dinner during the week (half board) and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
Most P.I.C.E. homestays are within 30 minutes travelling time from the school by bus or train. Perth has an easy-to-use and inexpensive public transport system. The P.I.C.E. student card entitles students who study for six weeks or more to buy a student ticket for Perth's transport system, which gives a 45% discount on adult fares. Students are responsible for their own travel costs between their homestay and P.I.C.E.
You may be more comfortable in a hostel. P.I.C.E. can book you into a city based hostel only a 15 minute walk from the college. This is for the more independent student who wants to enjoy city living at an affordable price. You have your own room and share kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Other accommodation options are available on request.
