General English (part-time)
15 hours face-to-face teaching per week. Beginners to Advanced level. Maximum course length: 12 weeks. All visas except student visa. Based on a communicative teaching approach, class programmes focus on quickly developing effective skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
General Intensive English (full-time)
25 hours per week, including the Friday afternoon activity. Beginners to Advanced level. Any visa. Course length up to 60 weeks. The interactive methods of the General English classes extend into specialist classes in the afternoon. Students have the opportunity to practice their acquired skills in real life situations.
Academic English
Combined with General English, this is an afternoon elective for full time students. Minimum Intermediate level required. Must start on 4-week module dates. Students apply the language skills learnt in the morning to help prepare for further academic study. Topics such as report writing, research and note-taking skills are an important part of the elective. (Students may have the opportunity to prepare for the IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC exams).
English for Business
Combined with General English, this is an afternoon elective for full time students. Minimum Pre-intermediate level required. Must start on 4-week module dates. Students apply the language skills learnt in the morning to any business environment. Marketing and finance topics, combined with business presentation techniques are an integral part of the elective. (Students may have the option of preparation for the BEC 1 or 2, or the LCCI* exams).

Cambridge Exam Preparation
FCE and CAE/CPE preparation courses. 12-week intensive courses for exam preparation, for full time students, available in March and September. 10-week FCE and CAE available in January. Minimum levels required.

Demi Pair Programme
The Demi Pair programme is designed for students who want to work for and live with an Australian family while they follow full time language studies in Perth. The programme is only open to female applicants over the age of eighteen.

English and Internship Programme
An English & Internship programme is available at Perth International College of English. Students who want to put their English language to work can enjoy an Australian experience at the same time. After refreshing their English, students choose from a wide range of work opportunities, varying from 'working on an Australian farm' to a 'marketing position in an events company'.

English for Academic Purposes (full-time)
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is a course especially designed for those students going on to further education in Australia. This can be University, Senior High school or Business College. Students learn via an active and communicative approach. As well as weekly tests students must complete set minor and major tasks. A variety of academic materials are used including published IELTS and TOEFL texts.
